All work that you undertake through The Supply Pool counts as pensionable service.  However, supply teaching, like part-time teaching, is not automatically pensionable. You will need to choose to have superannuation contributions deducted from your salary in order to be eligible to receive pension contributions.

This means that you will pay 6% of your salary towards a package of benefits and your employer will contribute a further 13.5% to make a total of 19.5%. 

If you wish to contribute to the Teacher’s Superannuation Scheme, you can do this be completing Form 261 which you can request from: Teachers Pensions, Mowden Hall, Darlington DL3 9EE (01325 745745).
