Press Release: 18 March 2008
The National Bursars Association (NBA) is the latest in a long list of educational organisations
to partner leading online recruitment specialists eteach.com.
The new partnership agreement will bring benefits to both parties and help to address the
shortage of bursars currently experienced in schools. The NBA plans to work with
eteach.com to match quality candidates with schools and attract professionals from outside
education to apply for bursar vacancies.
Additionally, by employing online solutions and utilising a range of unique software tools
developed specifically for education, eteach.com will help bursars and senior managers in
schools to make significant savings in their hard-pressed budgets.
Bursars and those involved in the financial management of schools will benefit by paying a
special discounted ‘one off’ annual fee, allowing them to advertise as many teaching and
non-teaching vacancies as they need throughout the year. With statistics showing that a
large school can spend up to £20,000 on recruitment each year, this could potentially save
the average school thousands of pounds.
David McGahey, MD of eteach.com said: “Bursars are having an increasing role in the
financial management of schools helping to free Head Teachers from administrative and
financial burdens. Our affiliation with the NBA allows eteach.com to reach the bursar
community and help them make the most cost effective use of limited resources.
“It is estimated that the education sector spends around £120 million each year on
recruitment advertising. By embracing online solutions and doing away with costly print -
based advertising, these costs can be dramatically reduced.”
As a leading online recruitment portal, eteach.com can help place bursars in schools, as well
as helping to find a range of non-teaching staff to support bursars in their role.
Bill Simmonds of the NBA, said: “We believe that eteach.com offers excellent value to our
members. As staff recruitment continues to be a key issue for bursars, school business
managers and administrators, the dynamic service provided by eteach.com offers a real
alternative to traditional press advertising.”
Bursars can use eteach.com to:
- advertise vacancies instantly online to an audience of over 450,000 registered
educational professionals
- receive applications from candidates by email
- save administration time and costs by attaching application packs and extensive
vacancy information online
- find quality teaching and non -teaching staff
- provide a range of school management tools such applicant tracking and succession
planning software.
In addition, eteach.com will be sponsoring the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the NBA
National Awards in October 2008.
