Eteach RSS Job Feeds

Eteach have created RSS feeds providing our members the opportunity to directly access job information that is relevant to their search criteria. This information will be available at the touch of a button and will save our members time on searching/surfing the Internet and sifting through job information that isn’t relevant in helping them to find their next job.

RSS stands for ‘Real Simple Syndication’ (RSS) and it is a relatively new and easy way to distribute content via the Internet. RSS means that information is tailored to suit you the user and this information is condensed and provided in a single location, so that you can access it in a shorter timeframe.

Currently on Eteach.com, members will be able to read their RSS feeds in Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.0. To download please click the browser name.

If you have one of these browsers and want to access the Eteach RSS feed service, Eteach recommend that you download one of the following free RSS reader programmes:


Windows RSS Readers:


• FeedDemon
• Sharpreader
• RSS bandit


Mac RSS Reader:


• NetNewsWire Lite


Online readers:

• Google Reader
• Bloglines


How do you use this service on eteach.com?
 
Once you have downloaded a free RSS feed programme. Follow the steps below to get Eteach’s RSS job vacancy feeds working for you:

1) Login to your Eteach account, by visiting the Eteach Homepage and fill in your Email Address and Password in the ‘Member Login’ Box, located to the top-left hand corner of the screen.

2) You will be then be taken to your ‘My Eteach’ section of the website. To set-up a RSS jobs feed; you need to create a ‘Saved Search’. Saved searches can be set up under the ‘My Saved Searches’ section of your ‘My Eteach’.
 
3) To set-up a saved search go to the Advanced Search Page and carry out a specific job search for the type of position that you are looking for. Remember to use all the criteria to make your job search as specific as possible.

4) At ‘Your Job Search Results’ page, you will see a link at the top of the webpage that states ‘Save this Search’. Click on this link and you can save the search by giving it a specific name. Be as precise as possible, so you will understand what the RSS feed is referring to.

5) You will be then be taken to a ‘Saved Searches’ page where you can review these saved searches. Go to your ‘My Eteach’ page and you will see the following icon next to your saved searches:

6)  You are now able to subscribe to the RSS feed in a number of ways, as follows:
• Drag the orange RSS icon/button into your RSS Reader
• Drag the URL of the RSS feed into your RSS Reader
• Cut and paste the URL of the RSS feed into your RSS Reader.

7) Your RSS feed will now be set-up.
