Eteach – the UK’s most successful and original online jobs board for teachers - has won a major award for technical innovation.
The company – which was set up a decade ago by former PE teacher Paul Howells – celebrated winning the Best Technical Innovation Award at the Onrec Awards 2010 held at the contemporary Grange St. Paul’s Hotel in the heart of London before Easter.
Onrec.com celebrated the success, growth, innovation talent and achievements within the online recruitment industry during a lavish ceremony attended by hundreds of industry leaders.
Now in its fifth year, the prestigious ceremony has become the must attend event for online recruiters in the private and public sectors.
Eteach beat off stiff competition to win the Best Technological Innovation Award for their user-friendly jobs board Eteach Premium that uses a state-of-the-art Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to help match the right candidate to the right school.
Across the UK, Eteach Premium is already used by 6,000 schools and 70 local authorities. The unique system is easy to use and schools can build distinctive profiles as well as manage and communicate with applicants online using the progressive ATS service.
As schools suffer from recession-fuelled budget cuts in 2010-11, Eteach Premium will become more attractive to schools looking to curb spending but ensure children’s education are not at risk by cutting back on classroom essentials such as books and computers.
Lifting the award, Mr Howells said: “Winning the Best Technical Innovation Award 2010 is a fantastic endorsement for Eteach Premium. It recognises what 6,000 schools and some 70 local authorities already know: that Eteach Premium uses cutting edge technology to reduce recruitment management time and advertising costs and place great teachers and staff in great schools. We’re proud of Eteach Premium and of winning this wonderful accolade!”
