Eteach has won the Recruitment Group of the Year Award in the face of strong competition from some of the industry’s leading names in this year’s Education Investor Awards.
The prestigious Award was presented by Danny Finkelstein, executive editor of The Times and a former close advisor to several members of the Conservative party, at an event attended by more than 530 sector leaders on 17th November. Other finalists in the recruitment category included Academics, ITN Mark Education and Randstad.
The Award recognised Eteach’s use of online technology to help schools recruit more effectively and its achievement in developing School and Regional Talent Pools. Talent Pools are designed to simplify recruitment, drive down costs for schools and help them to collaborate in finding staff. They enable schools and candidates to communicate with each other all year round, ensuring that candidates never miss a job opportunity and schools never overlook a quality candidate again.
Eteach CEO Paul Howells said: “We’re delighted to receive this award that recognises investment in the education sector. Developing state-of-the-art online tools for schools and colleges has meant a big commitment in time, money and expertise – but it’s worth it when we see our customers recruiting efficiently and for less money than ever.”

Notes to Editors
Eteach.com offers a powerful and cost effective solution to the recruitment problems facing schools. It provides a unique integrated recruitment service, helping schools employ staff in the primary, secondary, special needs and independent sectors, as well as further education.
The UK’s leading education recruitment portal currently has over 600,000 teacher members, giving employers access to an unrivalled pool of talent nationally and internationally. The service is free to teachers, who simply enter their CV and then have access to a live database of vacancies.
School, Group and Regional Talent Pools are an innovative concept which has been introduced by Eteach to simplify recruitment and further drive down costs for schools. Recruiters can set up a Talent Pool, a database of potential employees that attracts teachers who want to work in that region or school. When there’s a vacancy schools can access the list of candidates who have already expressed an interest in working in their area or directly for them. By utilising this management resource Eteach is confident schools will save money, time and jobs.
