Aldworth Science College
INTRODUCTION
Aldworth Science College (ASC) is a County maintained mixed specialist school of 700 pupils aged 11 – 16 providing high quality education and a disciplined learning environment. Our aim is to develop the talents, skills and interests of all learners, to ensure that they all achieve their potential. The school has no religious affiliation. We have received designation as a Specialist Science College and a Leadership Partner School.

Our purpose is to provide Opportunities for All and to promote excellence in learning. We aim to provide high quality teaching and learning in a disciplined, supportive and motivating atmosphere, using our Specialist Science College status to continue to raise standards of achievement across the whole school. Our distinctive ethos ensures that we focus constantly on teaching strategies and
learning styles to meet the needs of individual students. We have a clear emphasis on excellent standards of behaviour and uniform.
COLLEGE INFORMATION
The College has five main teaching blocks; Portsmouth, Salisbury, Winchester, Dartmouth and Bolton. We have lifts to all buildings which ensure full access for disabled students, staff and visitors to all areas. Our general programme of upgrading facilities continues, with extensive
refurbishment of rooms across the school. This includes two large ICT suites, Modern Foreign Languages and Art rooms, as well as specialist facilities to teach Hair and Beauty, Health Care, Media and the Creative and Performing Arts. During 2010 – 2011 a new Performing Arts and Dance Studio will be built.
