The Countess Gytha School

Countess Gytha Primary School is set in picturesque village of Queen Camel, just outside Yeovil, near the Sparkford roundabout off the A303.

Each teacher has their own dedicated teaching assistant for every morning plus some additional hours for specific Literacy/Numeracy programmes and/or SEN work for particular children.

School has very strong link with Mufulira Basic School in Zambia (has been running teacher exchange visits and joint curricular projects for past 7 years) This was highly praised by OFSTED (OCT 2004) and regarded as 'outstanding practice'.
