Westcroft is a very successful LEA Special School and Sports College with 180 pupils aged 4 - 16 on roll, with primarily a range of moderate learning disabilities. In September 2000, we became the first Special School in England to be designated as a Specialist Sports College, in 2002 we were awarded Sportsmark Gold and in 2003 Activemark Gold. We have also recieved two curriculum awards, a Royal Anniversary Trust Award, School Health Award and the Crime Prevention Award, the Outdoor and Adventurous Activities Licence and recently been designated as a Centre for the LEA School Sport Coordinator Programme.
