Anglo European School
The school was established in 1973 as a comprehensive school with a distinctive European ethos. Since we became a specialist language college in 1995 (the first state school to achieve this status), our ethos has evolved into something much more internationalist in outlook.
We are extremely proud of our staff, our students and our history. This includes the fact that in 1977 we became the first state school to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma, a global post 16 qualification.
The school aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
Our educational programme encourages students from diverse backgrounds to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
