Imperial is a happy nurturing school. We are committed to raising standards. We believe in developing partnerships with families for the benefit of the children in our care. We have a diverse school population and believe everyone benefits from learning about other cultures. We actively encourage parents and carers to be involved in their child’s education from the start and to support their learning at home as well as in school.
We have a lot to be proud about at Imperial. Good teaching is delivered by hardworking and well trained staff who are dedicated to the children and how they learn. We have well resourced classrooms and attractive surroundings. The school has beautiful leafy grounds and outdoor spaces such as the field, the outdoor play areas and the quads. These have been developed to support learning, providing an attractive, safe environment for all children to enjoy.

Aims of the School
We aim to:
School Ethos Mission Statement –We value and respect the uniqueness of each child and work together to achieve success
At Imperial Avenue Infant School we feel it is important that children feel happy and secure so that they can work to the best of their ability and make good progress. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum which covers all aspects of school life and not just the subjects viewed as part of the National Curriculum. School life should provide all children with the skills they will need for life in the 21st century. We encourage the children to set themselves realistic goals which provides them with a sense of achievement and raises their self-esteem.
Children need to feel a sense of ownership of the school they attend which places emphasis on children’s responsibilities to treat all people with respect and to be caring of each other. Some of the expectations we have of our children encompass our school values which seek to promote the development of the whole-child within our society.
Leicester City Council and Imperial Avenue Infant School is committed to Equal Opportunities in employment and to improving workforce representation to reflect the communities we serve If you're searching for your next teaching post, why not contact us now?
