Welcome

We are all extremely proud of our school which is located in the east of the city of Hull.

Maybury is a popular average sized primary school which has the capacity for 210 children plus a 52 place part time nursery. There is one class per year group from F2 up to Year 6. Our school is housed in a purpose built building which opened in November 2007. The school is an innovative but simple design which incorporates some green technology.

Maybury is a school that strives to be outstanding. We believe in providing the best education for our young people and to do this we work hard to develop high quality, outstanding teachers. We value and look after the needs of every child and strive to make sure that all of our pupils enjoy their time here. It is a place to make friends and start on the lifelong learning journey.

At Maybury we recognise that all pupils have learning strengths and that we must develop their skills and personal qualities which can be applied across the curriculum inside and outside the classroom. We believe that for children to love learning, the curriculum must be real and exciting. We are an inclusive school and provide a rich, inspiring learning environment that motivates pupils to learn. Through our high expectations, challenge and support of the whole school community, we offer learners the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, culturally, spiritually and physically.

  • To create and develop a staffing structure to meet the needs of Maybury Primary School, building on the strengths, interests and experience of individual members of staff.
  • To provide a broad, balanced curriculum that meets the needs of the children and statutory requirements.
  • To raise levels of academic attainment.
  • To develop Maybury Primary School’s role in the local community as a centre for education for children and adults alike.

Humber Education Trust’s vision is to develop a high performing Multi Academy Trust that delivers the very best educational experience for all children and young people. We will grow, develop, support and improve our schools across the Trust, with a clear focus on raising standards, encouraging innovation and strengthening the ethos of the Trust to ensure that we have a positive impact on all of the children and young people within the Trust. As a partnership, our strength lies in a common purpose: high aspirations, moral values, care and support; yet celebrates our individual uniqueness. As a trust, we will drive these aims further and faster for the benefit of our pupils and our communities.

Humber Education Trust is also recognised by the DfE as an Academy Sponsor. This means that through the Trust, we are held accountable for sponsored schools who may join us, to ensure improvement in outcomes and taking responsibility for their performance and financial arrangements. Humber Education Trust is supported by a strong Trust Board who provide effective support and the challenge required to ensure that we build on our track record of excellence to provide strategic partnerships to improve quality, share best practice and operate effectively and efficiently. We believe passionately that every penny that comes into a school should be spent on the development and provision of a first class standard of education for all.
