Denstone CollegeDenstone College was founded in the nineteenth century by Nathaniel Woodard and is a member of the Headmasters’ Conference. There are 437 boys and girls aged 11 - 18 in the College, of whom approximately one third are boardersThe College offers a wide range of extra curricular activities. Denstone has an outstanding record in games and offers coaching in rugby, cricket, hockey, soccer, athletics, netball, swimming, cross country, tennis and golf. There is a state of the art Sports Hall, an indoor six lane swimming pool, a professional-standard nine hole golf course, an Astroturf floodlit all weather surface and an athletics track, as well as various tennis and squash courts, and other indoor sporting facilities.Music and drama are thriving at the College, and there is a long tradition of excellence in these areas. Recent productions include ‘Grease’, ‘Oh What a Lovely War’ and Guys and Dolls. A full programme of musical events is produced throughout the year and an annual Concert Calendar is published.The School has its own CCF and is one of the most successful members of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme in the Midlands.
