Welcome

Priory Primary School aims to provide a safe, happy and secure environment where every child achieves their full potential. We aim for enthusiastic learners through providing a stimulating and challenging curriculum. Team work between all stakeholders – children, staff, parents, governors – is at the heart of the school and we celebrate both achievements and successes.

We are a school which is committed to lifelong learning, physical well-being and encouraging all our children to have high aspirations for their futures at secondary school and beyond.

About Us

Priory Primary School is a community primary school located in the west of the city of Hull. We have approximately 430 children on roll and have expanded from being a one form entry to a two form entry school. In January 2016 we opened a 26 place nursery.

We are part of the Yorkshire and the Humber Co-operative Learning Trust and work in partnership with 6 other primary schools and 2 secondary schools in the city.

Our Vision

All our children are buzzing with excitement for learning; they enjoy the feeling of success, develop confidence, and become active and responsible citizens.

Our Aims

These aims are for our whole school community – children, staff, governors and families:

• To develop independent, enthusiastic and creative learners with skills for life

• To provide a welcoming, happy and safe environment, where learners are confident to take risks and can flourish

• To deliver an authentic curriculum, which provides opportunities for challenge and aspiration, preparing children for the future

• To build a community based on mutual respect, where everyone takes responsibility for their own actions and behaviour choices

• To celebrate diversity and promote tolerance, developing learners as global citizens
