At Fairfield Primary School we believe in community. Over the last 40+ years the school has established strong links with the local community and we pride ourselves on our unique identity.

The schools ethos is based upon the motto 'Learning The Fairfield Way'. We endeavour to make learning interesting and engaging, purposeful and fun. In this way we hope to nurture the children's self esteem and confidence so that progress and attainment in all areas of the curriculum will follow.

At Fairfield we aim to make our curriculum meaningful, interesting and fun, including real experiences for the children. We aim to offer opportunities for all pupils to excel. We believe that learning should be linked to the children's personal interests and individual learning styles.

To achieve this we organise our curriculum through topic themes rather than separate subjects. The themes are closely linked with literacy and numeracy work to encourage children to develop their reading, writing and numeracy skills in all aspects of their learning.
