Folkestone Primary Kindergarten
What we say about Folkestone Primary Academy is equally true for our Kindergarten; children come to our school to be happy and successful. A particular focus in our Kindergarten relates to putting language at the heart of learning, helping children to explore the magical world of words through stories, rhymes, role-play, social interaction, outdoor and indoor play, and specific teaching .
Folkestone Primary Academy
As an inclusive, caring school where every child matters, we recognise that all children have talents and abilities to enjoy and part of our role is to help them discover and develop these. We encourage a strong community spirit where we show consideration for each other, understand differences, and uphold kind, well-mannered behaviour.
Our brand new school offers a bright, spacious and stimulating environment for primary learning where classes of 20 radiate off central learning zones. Year groups are divided into three ‘steps’ to reflect your child’s journey through the school. They will enjoy exceptional facilities both inside and out, including The Anthony Browne Library, dedicated art space, music practice rooms, extensive sports grounds and opportunities for adventurous play in our exciting outdoor environment.
We opened in September 2007 as an Independent Academy maintained by state funding. We are a comprehensive school serving students aged 11-19 from the East Folkestone area.
Folkestone Academy Sixth Form
Folkestone Academy Sixth Form is located in the heart of Folkestone at the Glassworks Sixth Form Centre. At our new centre, we have worked hard to create a Sixth Form where students are able to study, thrive and develop in a mature and supportive environment designed to make learning stimulating, appropriate and successful, and where every student can achieve their true potential. Working together, we have created a caring community willing and able to work with students in the lower school and with members of the wider community of Folkestone with an emphasis placed upon good relationships and partnerships encouraging mutual respect, understanding and co-operation.
