Welcome from the Headteacher

Every child that joins Hareclive will be given the best possible opportunities to learn. They will have support, guidance and care from role models who will motivate and inspire them to achieve whatever they want in life.

Teaching and learning is at the heart of everything we do here at Hareclive – though keeping children safe must always be our main priority. We take all aspects of safeguarding extremely seriously.

Hareclive is a two-form entry school from Reception to Year 6. We offer a breakfast club and a range of after school clubs. Our school is on a large site which includes fields, an astroturf football pitch, four playground spaces and onsite full size climbing wall.

We are fortunate enough to have an independent art studio, Room 13, situated onsite. It is run by the children, for the children, guided by our artists in residence. The children take place in a wide range of activities, including exhibitions, commissions, residencies, conference presentations and television programmes! The Hareclive studio is the world’s first purpose built Room 13 studio and winner of a RIBA award.

In 2019 we were awarded the highest grade of ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. They commented that our pupils “Are keen to engage in their learning…well-behaved…understand the importance of respect and tolerance…make rapid progress in all subjects…are proud of their work.”

At Hareclive:

  • We expect and nurture the best behaviour and attitudes to education – as these are central to pupils achieving academic success.
  • We have very high expectations of our learners- and in return we are committed to providing them with the very best environment in which to learn.
  • Our values show that we place emphasis on individual achievement whilst building an awareness and understanding of others. The E-ACT values of ‘Thinking big’, ‘Showing team spirit’ and ‘Do the right thing’ encompass everything we do.

The academy is a caring community that values personal, social, moral and emotional development as well as academic and creative achievement.

As Hareclive is part of the E-ACT multi-academy trust, we are able to work with experts in their respective fields, share ideas and best practice and as a result continually develop and improve the standard of teaching and learning we offer our children.

We want our children to embrace opportunities to fulfil their potential and to become responsible citizens of the future.

Think Big

For themselves and for the world around them by thinking beyond the four walls of their academy, and having the belief that anything they aspire to achieve is possible through hard work.

do THE RIGHT THING

In all that they do by carefully thinking through their decisions, even when it means doing something that’s hard or takes a lot of time.

SHOW TEAM SPIRIT

By supporting one another, and knowing that by working together great things can be achieved.

An E-ACT Academy

We are proud to be one of 28 E-ACT academies in England.

Our community includes over 18,000 pupils and 2,300 teachers and non-teaching professionals across the country.

What it means to be part of E-ACT

As an E-ACT academy we share ideas with other academies in the trust in ways other schools may not be able to. Our pupils and staff also feel part of something much bigger.

E-ACT academies also have support from people across the trust who help us to make things even better for our children.

An E-ACT Academy in Birmingham, E-ACT Heartlands Academy, was ranked one of the best secondary schools in the country and was named School of the Year at the Times Educational Supplement schools awards in 2020.

Think big, show team spirit, do the right thing

We believe that young people should never be held back from achieving great things.

By encouraging them to think big and believe that anything is possible, by showing them the importance of team spirit and by supporting them to carefully think through decisions to do the right thing, we know that every one of our pupils can realise their full potential.
