The Queen Elizabeth Academy are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our fantastic department, and our forward thinking, modern academy.

The Queen Elizabeth Academy is an 11-16 mixed academy based in Atherstone with approximately 660 pupils on roll. Following our Ofsted inspection in May 2017, we were shown to be “Good with Outstanding features”, a real testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students. In November 2016, as part of the Priority School Building Programme, we moved into brand new premises that have given us access to fantastic new facilities, which really set us apart in the locality
This is an excellent time to be joining our academy and our MFL department. The Modern Foreign Languages department is led by a superb, relatively recently appointed Head of Department, who has an inspirational curriculum vision for MFL. As a result great strides have been made in the quality of provision and this is being translated into improving attainment and progress. Currently the Head of Department is supported by two Languages teachers who are both excellent practitioners. Languages is viewed as a cornerstone of our broad and balanced curriculum in which students are entitled to learn a language. In support of this our Trust and academy tight principle is for 75% of students to be entered for Languages GCSE. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach French and/or Spanish to GCSE level.
