At the Academy Transformation Trust, we believe that every child matters and deserves a first class education. Operating across the Midlands, the East of England and the South East, we make sure that students leave our academies with everything they need to reach their full potential.

Sutton Community Academy is a place where people learn, grow, share, and discover their full potential. Operating at the heart of Academy Transformation Trust gives our people unrivalled scope for personal and professional development – just one of the reasons that most of them stay with us until they gain promotion or choose to retire.

We train our staff to bring out the best in each and every student, and place strong emphasis on good behaviour, so that nobody is held back or prevented from developing. The same applies to our staff: we invest heavily in personal development with staff wellbeing always a priority, so that today’s excellent staff can become tomorrow’s inspiring school leaders, either here or elsewhere in the Trust.

This is a place for ambitious staff: people who want to champion innovative classroom practice, challenge conventional wisdom and find exciting ways to bring learning to life working in a positive environment

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of English and Sociology. This post will include the teaching of KS3-KS4 English and KS5 Sociology. We require an innovative and motivational teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the desire and commitment to raise achievement of all students at all levels. You will be joining two dynamic and exciting teams within our Academy, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students.

Key responsibilities for teaching staff:

• Inspire students to achieve their very best.

• Ensure all teaching is rated ‘good’ or better.

• Ensure all students make outstanding progress and achieve challenging targets.

• Fully implement all Academy policies and procedures.

Applications from NQTs are welcomed.

If you have what it takes, you can join an experienced, innovative team with incredible potential – and look forward to a future that could take you anywhere within the Trust’s 22 Academies.

Ultimately, this is an academy that you have to experience for yourself, please contact us to arrange a visit or to speak to our Principal about this role.

Safeguarding Statement:

The successful applicant will undertake an enhanced DBS criminal record check, and online searches will be carried out in line with KCSIE update 2023. We are committed to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and welcome all applications. We are open to Flexible Working.
