‘Greatness is not a function of circumstance. Greatness, it turns out, is largely a matter of conscious choice.’
Jim Collins
Thank you for your interest in The Dukeries Academy (TDA) and Academy Transformation Trust (ATT). Our Academy was judged good by Ofsted in October 2021, and we are now committed to achieving greatness by 2025. The opening line of the report highlights our culture, ‘As pupils enter the school, they are reminded of its inclusive culture by crossing the Rainbow Road. The staff know the pupils very well and have their best interests at heart. Pupils say that they are excited to attend this school and feel safe.’
Our vision at The Dukeries Academy to transform lives by inspiring excellence and maximising opportunities for all. As a rapidly improving Academy, at the heart of the Ollerton community, we support every student to achieve the qualifications they need to progress confidently to the next stage of learning, training or employment. This is not all we do. To complement their qualifications, we also develop the skills and character traits, which will allow our students to become positive change makers in their own and other people’s lives.
At the Dukeries Academy, we live our values. We aspire to act with integrity, are ambitious in our purpose and are resilient in our pursuit of excellence. We are a Disability Confident Employer, at ATT we are passionate about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and welcome all applications.
Our team of talented staff are friendly and professional, fully committed to the educational, pastoral, and well-being needs of our students. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Science to join this team. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious professional with the ability to teach across the age range, including Sixth Form. You will be joining a dynamic and exciting team, creating a culture of excellence amongst our students. Applications from ECT’s are welcomed.
In return, you can expect fantastic Professional Development opportunities through our ITT Institute, a comprehensive employee benefits package including a health cash plan, shopping discounts, cycle-to-work and gym schemes, cinema tickets and an employee assistance programme.
As a valued teacher, you will use your sphere of influence to play an important part in taking TDA from Good to Great, and we can promise it will be an exciting and rewarding journey. Along the way, you will gain the satisfaction of #Transforming Lives in our Academy and across our Trust’s twenty-one schools.
