We are looking to appoint a skilled and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our successful SEND department. This role includes supporting students with visual impairment, helping them to access learning, develop independence and fully engage in school life.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to improving outcomes for students and keen to develop their experience in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

This is a 37-hour per week role, although for the right candidate, we are open to discuss flexible working or part-time arrangements.

The successful post holder will:-

• Support high-quality provision, including adapting resources to ensure access for students with visual impairment. 

• Motivate and engage students, acting as a positive role model. 

• Communicate effectively, with strong organisational and ICT skills. 

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when supporting learning. 

• Remain calm, resilient and positive, including in more challenging situations. 

• Support small group work and learning activities under the direction of teaching staff. 

• Be flexible and responsive to students’ needs. 

• Work collaboratively within the SEND team and wider school.
