“We care, we learn, we shine” Ash Grange Nursery and Primary School is seeking a part-time (average 6-10 hours a week) School Business Manager from September 2025 or sooner. We would like to invite a person with finance experience and relevant qualifications to join our wonderful school. This is a fixed term contract of 12 months initially which may be extended to permanent after this period.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a highly motivated professional individual
- Be a team player who demonstrates honesty and integrity.
- Have proven written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with good negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners/professionals.
- Ability to work on own initiative, with solution focused problem-solving skills.
- Educated to at least ‘A’ level standard, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level.
- Have professional business qualification to NVQ Level 4, or able to evidence knowledge and understanding of appropriate business disciplines
- Knowledge of principles, practices, policies and procedures relating to business planning and financial and organisational management.
- Have excellent IT skills, experience of or willingness to learn about Xero, Approval Max systems.
- Have high level administrative/organisational and analytical skills.
- Have proven experience of managing a range of projects through to completion, meeting all agreed deadlines.

- The salary is in the range of S8-S9 (£35,730- £40,296 full time equivalent) pro-rata, by experience and qualification.
