Location: Ash Grange Nursery and Primary School, Ash, Surrey

Contract Type: Fixed Term (Apprenticeship) for 18 months

Hours: Full-time, term-time only — Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:45pm

Salary: Apprenticeship rate £23,322 pro rata over the year

Ash Grange Nursery and Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while studying towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship with a SEN specialism.

What you’ll be doing:

Providing tailored 1:1 support to a child with SEN, helping them access learning and thrive in the classroom.

Supporting the class teacher in delivering inclusive education.

Assisting with the child’s social, emotional, and academic development.

Learning and applying strategies to support children with additional needs.

Working closely with the SENCO and wider support team.

What we’re looking for:

A genuine interest in working with children, especially those with additional needs.

Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.

Commitment to completing the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable.
