Credit Controller
Part Time – 22.2 hours per week, fixed term contract until 31st December 2021
Salary – £19,214 – £20,918 per annum, pro rata depending on experience

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.
The College is seeking a part time Credit Controller on a fixed term contract until 31st December 2021 to join our dynamic, friendly Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will be responsible for managing and reducing debt. You will maintain, develop and enhance an effective sales ledger function, whilst providing an efficient and professional finance service to support the work of the finance team. The successful applicant will be office based and ideally work over 5 days per week, although flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
The primary responsibilities of the post are:-
• To maintain, develop and enhance an effective sales ledger function
• To oversee the Sales Ledger and Credit Control of commercial debtors
• Communicate with debtors to optimise collection
• Investigate discrepancies and seek appropriate action to reduce the number and value of outstanding debtor accounts
We are looking for applicants who have knowledge of the full sales ledger and credit control functions, debt chasing experience and accuracy in processing a high volume of transactions. Previous experience of working with integrated computerised financial systems is essential and the successful candidate will be educated to at least a Level 2 in Maths & English although Level 3 would be desirable. You will have a flexible approach, excellent numerical, verbal and written communication skills. Experience of Open Accounts and knowledge of the Education sector would be a distinct advantage.
