Askham Bryan College is a large, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire and the Tees Valley.
We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness, Uniformed Public Services and Veterinary Nursing.
We also have a thriving University Centre at York offering a range of courses from Foundation degrees to Masters level.
The college has a new vision and strategic plan to take it forward to 2030. With exciting new capital projects including an Institute of Technology and a digital skills bids that will transform learning for our students.
The Director of Communication is an exciting new, senior post in the college whose role will be to lead and implement the communications, stakeholder engagement and marketing strategy across the college. They will also take a key lead in implementation of the college strategic plan.
We require a high-calibre, senior level leader with a proven record in stakeholder engagement, communication strategy implementation and who can demonstrate the ability to lead in the areas for which he/she is responsible.
The successful candidate will be innovative, outward-looking and dynamic; someone who understands the challenges of communication in a large college and can bring people together to lead change to improve the staff and students’ experiences.
Ideally this is a full time role, however a minimum of 4 days would be considered.
