Part Time, Permanent Contract

Salary: £26,747 per annum, pro-rata (SP26)

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Higher Education Lecturer / Course Manager specialising in Arboricultural Science here at our York campus. This is a part time, permanent role, working 14.8 hours per week (0.4FTE).

The successful applicant will be a proactive and self-motivated individual, who will work closely with University Centre Team, the wider curriculum team and grounds staff when required.

The ideal candidate should hold a formal level 6 qualification or higher, either in the subject area or possess extensive working knowledge in the subject area. Excellent knowledge of tree identification and dendrology, woodland management, plant and soil science, tree biology and tree pests and diseases is highly desirable. You will have excellent communication skills, be experienced with Microsoft programs and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and support outstanding student experience, marketing opportunities and industry engagement.
