Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Newcastle.
We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Arboriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Professional Tree Surgery, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness and Uniformed Public Services and Veterinary Nursing.
University Centre Askham Bryan has Foundation Degree awarding powers, and offers both FdSc and BSc provision in disciplines in Agriculture, Animal science and Conservation, Animal Behaviour and Management, Equine and Veterinary Nursing. Honours degrees are validated by Harper Adams University.
We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for the leadership and management for apprenticeship provision from Level 2 to Level 4, with significant focus and understanding of apprenticeship funding rules and compliance. Sector experience and knowledge is vital, and specifically an understanding of apprenticeships.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, operation delivery and direction to the planning and resourcing of a high quality, efficient curriculum offer.
Educated to level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject, candidates will ideally hold a teaching qualification, with excellent knowledge of apprenticeship delivery, and demonstrable skills in stakeholder engagement and partnership working.
