Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college with campuses across the North of England.
We have an exciting opportunity for course manager/lecturer to join our English and Mathematics (ENMA) Department, based at our Stewart Park Centre. We are looking for a English lecturer on a 0.8 FTE permanent contract. This role requires a highly motivated individual who are capable of working with others who is responsible and passionate about English to assist students to develop their skills.
The role will work closely with the Curriculum Area Manager for English and Maths and the Curriculum Manager for Stewart Park as well as other team members to drive forward quality of the department and student success.
Reporting to the Curriculum Area Manager for English and Maths, this role is vital for the delivery and management of the English and maths curriculum. The successful candidate will be able to inspire and enthuse learners to develop their English and maths skills and build a firm understanding of the link to industry
Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject, applicants should ideally hold a teaching qualification. With excellent knowledge of English, experience of delivering GCSE’s as well as knowledge and experience of Functional Skills.
