Due to our successful and oversubscribed ASC Base resourced provision, we are welcoming applicants for the role of Specialist Teacher and Manager.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable qualified teacher with current experience, expertise and a qualification in CCN/ASC, and/or a commitment to undertake a PG Cert qualification in CCN/ASC (funded) if needed, to work within Budmouth Academy mainstream secondary school to improve educational and social inclusion opportunities for pupils with ASC and complex communication needs.
Our ASC Base is a provision which supports x12 students, who are fully integrated into our mainstream school alongside their peers. These students are offered additional resources, intervention and at times different spaces to work as needed, in order to help them to succeed in our school.
You will be collaborating with children and young people, families and other professionals from Health, Education and Social Services in order to improve outcomes for children and young people with ASC and complex communication needs.
You will also be keeping colleagues and stakeholders up-to-date and informed of LA and DfES guidance, initiatives and policies, with regard to inclusion and education.
