Budmouth Academy is a Secondary school near the wonderful coastline in Weymouth. We follow the ‘schools within schools’ structure and we have the only Sixth Form in the Weymouth and Portland area, meaning that we have the privilege of taking children from aged 11 right through to 18, and our excellent provision ensures that they are ready for the adult world. Budmouth also has a Student Support Centre and a Learning Support Centre, which are key parts of the school, where we provide extra support to students with a number of things including mental health and well-being. We work hard to establish a caring, supportive culture, underpinned by development opportunities for staff at all stages of their careers. Our Senior Leadership Team support the staff on this journey and lead on ensuring that career development is achieved by a wide range of professional development opportunities.
We are looking to recruit a highly passionate English teacher, who shares our commitment to academic excellence and promotes a love of their subject. We require a practitioner who is highly motivated to help every child succeed and has an unrelenting drive to improve the life chances of our children here in Weymouth. - A centralised behaviour policy to help support you and to allow you to focus on delivering high quality lessons.
- The opportunity of teaching our highly engaged sixth form students in A level Literature, Language and Film Studies.
