The successful candidate will be:

We are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate to the role of Director of Sixth Form to join our senior leadership team at Magna Academy. This will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity to build upon the existing track record of success within Sixth Form. The candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a successful sixth form drawing on their extensive teaching and leadership experience.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding and inspiring leader that is highly motivated with a strong presence, who is ambitious for students, their colleagues and the academy. They will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with experience of raising standards for students and enhancing the skills of teachers.

We require someone that can lead our ever developing Sixth Form and across the academy. The In addition the successful candidate will be able to lead and support the progression of our ‘Most Able’ students across the academy so that they offer engagement, stretch, support and challenge to all students. They will be able to identify outstanding teaching and learning, hold others to account, accurately assess the progress and achievement of students, groups and cohorts and provide appropriate provision to ensure progress of all is maximised.

Ultimately, we are looking for a committed leader with an uncompromising belief that all students deserve an outstanding education. They will uphold our inclusive ethos and provide opportunities for all students to progress well.

What we are looking for:

● An excellent teacher of their subject

● A successful leader with proven middle/senior leadership experience, who will play an important role in leading the academy into its next stage of development

● Someone with significant experience of raising achievement, leading change and ability to motivate staff and students

● Someone with the skills to support the progression of our ‘Most Able’ students across the academy

● Someone able to lead on on the Aspirations Employability Diploma (AED)

● Someone who does whatever it takes to ensure the life chances of all our students are maximised.

● Totally aligned to our values and vision.

● You would be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, be able to access high quality CPD and have excellent progression opportunities to become a Vice Principal as the academy and MAT continue to grow.
