Ocean Academy is a junior school for children aged 7-11 years old situated very close to the scenic Poole coastline and boating lake. At Ocean Academy, we provide an enriched and challenging 'no limits, no barriers' Key Stage 2 curriculum which is fun and engaging, and ultimately keeps our children at the heart of everything we endeavour to achieve. Here at Ocean, we also value the journeys of all our employees and provide ongoing training, coaching and workshops to give you the opportunity to flourish and move forward with your career in education.

We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Site Manager to join our team. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Site Manager with the skills and energy to maintain health and safety, security and general upkeep of the site.

As a new site in 2015, the site is evolving, and we need a Site Manager to respond to maintenance issues and contact relevant trades as required. A good communicator is required to ensure the maintenance, upkeep and development of the school buildings and infrastructure meet the required compliance and cleanliness standards. You’ll be responsible for ensuring excellent maintenance of the site in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

As the Site Manager you will be expected to work the hours to meet the demands of the post, especially if any emergencies arise. It is recognised that there will be fluctuations with this work especially during school term time so you will need to be flexible.

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of buildings and associated trades, have

the ability to solve and fix problems on the site, maintain a clean and hygienic environment, and understand Health and Safety standards in line with HSE as well as knowledge around risk management. Experience of working in a similar role in an education setting is desirable but not essential.

If you consider you are the right person for this role and would like to be a part of the team then it would be great to hear from you!

Please find attached Job description and Person Spec for more information about the position.
