About Taylor Road Primary School
We believe that every child has the power to learn, succeed and make a difference. We believe every child is a spark with limitless potential and our school is a place where everyone can grow, celebrate what makes us unique, feel safe and shine.
Taylor Road Primary School is a popular, multi-ethnic, inner-city primary school where pupils thrive and work together as part of an inclusive and collaborative community. We are a larger than average primary school with over 500 pupils on roll, housed in our purpose-built school, which opened in 2009.
Our core purpose is to secure the highest standards of education for our pupils and to ensure that every pupil receives the preparation they need for a successful future.
Relationships between our staff and pupils at Taylor Road are excellent, characterised by mutual respect and high expectations of everyone in our community. We have a strong ethos that is underpinned by our STARFISH Values. The school offers a vibrant, rich curriculum for all, regardless of need and background, and we work hard to meet the needs of each pupil. We are proud that Ofsted recognised our school as ‘Good’ in all areas in January 2025.
We work closely with other Leicester City Council and the local schools, and we are part of the Leicester Primary Partnership. We are also part of the Aspire Learning Partnership trust which values and supports collaboration.
