We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Play Leader for our new after-school club, based at Shalford Infant & Nursery School just outside Guildford. You must have level 3 play work, or an equivalent level 3 qualification (such as 2 A Levels). You must be willing to attend other training as necessary, for example designated safeguarding lead, first aid and food hygiene.
Our brand new club provides childcare for children at Shalford aged 3-7 between 3pm and 6pm every day. The club will be based on play work principles and will offer a range of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, music, games and cooking. The club will provide a caring and stimulating environment in which children can develop social skills, gain confidence, make new friends and most of all, enjoy themselves!
The after school club is a new venture for our school and therefore this role is initially a temporary role for the academic year 2021 - 2022. The viability of the club will be reviewed during this time.
The role is term time only (including three INSET days),17.5 hours a week including 2.5 hours of planning time.
