We are on the lookout for a dedicated Philosophy Teacher to join our team and deliver an enriching curriculum that promotes reflection, reasoning, and meaningful dialogue.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to nurture intellectual curiosity and moral development, helping pupils navigate ethical dilemmas and examine diverse worldviews through the lens of The Avanti Way. You’ll be instrumental in creating a safe, inclusive classroom where deep thinking, respectful debate, and character growth thrive.

This role gives you a chance to shape young people into thoughtful, grounded individuals who can contribute positively to their communities and the wider world.

What will you do?

  • Deliver the curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and ensure high standards of literacy and student progress.
  • Establish a safe and stimulating environment, manage classroom behavior, and promote student well-being.
  • Use assessment data to monitor student progress, set targets, and plan lessons.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate effectively with parents and external bodies.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.

  • QTS Qualified
  • Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant or allied subject
  • Able to work independently, collaboratively and as part of a team
