Join Avanti Gardens School as a Learning Coach and help every pupil thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide individual, small group, and whole-class support, including assisting pupils with SEND or English as an additional language.
In this role, you will build strong relationships with pupils, contribute to lesson planning and delivery, and implement strategies to support learning, behaviour, and wellbeing. You will liaise with parents, carers, and colleagues, and play an active role in fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
This position offers the opportunity to positively influence pupils’ progress and wellbeing, while contributing to the wider school community through classroom displays, school events, trips, and professional development initiatives.
The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting every child to reach their full potential and thrive in a nurturing school environment.

What will you do?
• Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, adapting learning approaches to meet the needs of children with SEND or English as an additional language, while promoting social, emotional and academic development.
• Support whole-class learning by supervising lessons, delivering pre-prepared activities, and contributing to planning and resources in collaboration with teachers.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues, communicating progress, responding to concerns, and fostering inclusive learning environments.
• Observe, implement and develop best practice from training, CPD, and specialist guidance to continually improve support strategies.
• Maintain safeguarding and pastoral responsibilities, reporting concerns, supporting wellbeing, and actively contributing to the wider life of the school, including trips, events, and classroom displays.

What are we looking for?
• Evidence of strong communication skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
• Excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to provide necessary first aid, medical and intimate care to children or undertake training successfully
• An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
