Avonmouth C of E School and Nursery is situated in the village of Avonmouth between the M5 and the bustling docks. As a Church of England School, we have strong links with St Andrew’s Church. We aim for all children to develop their sense of beauty, wonder and awe. We teach them about the traditions and values of Christianity and other faiths, encouraging understanding, tolerance and open-mindedness. We have been awarded the WIRE award (Widening Inclusion in Religious Education). Everyone is welcomed and respected here and we truly believe in developing an understanding of different cultures.

Staff celebrate the individuality of our pupils and provide a rich and engaging, thematic curriculum that is based in our core value that all pupils will prosper. One of the greatest strengths we have as a school is our strong pastoral support. Whether that is for the pupils in the school, or the families in our wider community, we are there to offer a welcoming, non-judgemental, inclusive environment.

As part of our extended provision, we encourage outdoor learning and have an environmental area as well as extensive grounds for the children to play and learn in. We have the highest expectations and aspirations for all our pupils to enable them to fully prosper in their futures. We work closely with businesses from the local area in developing the workforce of tomorrow.
