Together We Aspire, Achieve And Celebrate
Vision and Aims
Diversity—We appreciate and celebrate our differences
Celebration—We celebrate success and learn from our mistakes
Challenge—We challenge each other to be our best
Respect—We show respect for others, the environment and ourselves
Responsible—We are responsible for our own learning, actions and behaviour
Self-Esteem and Confidence—We believe in ourselves and can recognise our strengths and what we can improve
Aspire—We aspire to always be our best and achieve all we can
Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which supports and enables all our learners to aspire to be their best and be open to diversity and to celebrate difference.
West Leigh Infant School and Backwell Church of England Junior School formally federated in April 2013. The two schools serve the same community and indeed, the vast majority of children move from Year 2 at West Leigh to Year 3 at Backwell Juniors.
Being federated means we can work together even more effectively to ensure that all our children experience a world class education in Backwell. Although we are still two schools, we view ourselves as one community who take every opportunity to learn and thrive together.
If you're searching for your next teaching post, why not contact us now? You'll be working at a great school and be part of a friendly, helpful team. We're always interested to hear from enthusiastic, committed teachers!
We are part of the The Lighthouse Schools Partnership, for further information regarding the trust please click here.
The Lighthouse Schools Partnership is a Multi-Academy Trust with schools across the age range from Nursery to Sixth Form. Our Trust includes both community and Church of England schools and we also have three Teaching Schools amongst our number so that we can make the professional development of our staff a top priority.
