About

Are you an enthusiastic, creative person looking to work in a school where we encourage children to be curious and take their learning outdoors where possible? We are looking for a key stage one teacher who is passionate about play based learning to join our experienced staff - this could either be a part time or full time position. You will be supported by a passionate team of teachers including the assistant head in an inclusive, engaging environment where children love to learn.

Badbury Park Primary School moved into a state-of-the-art new building in November 2020 - we currently teach Nursery through to Year 4 and will open our first Year 5 class in September 2024.

We are passionate about outdoor learning, education for social responsibility and forest school and we have wonderful green spaces to bring the curriculum alive. We have engaged, happy learners in beautiful, authentic learning spaces with carefully chosen versatile resources that provoke creativity, curiosity, and concentration. The school building is spacious, and purpose built with the latest technology including an immersive room, VR headsets, coding robots and a 3D printer.

Our free school is part of The Blue Kite Academy Trust, a growing family of primary schools based in Swindon who offer excellent CPD and career opportunities, a competitive salary with scope for progression, a commitment to nationally agreed pay and terms, an excellent pension scheme, child care vouchers, free car parking, free staff health and well-being support, and a discount scheme for local shops.

Badbury Park has a great staff team who are supportive, passionate, and caring. Our aim is to work collaboratively together to nurture and develop every child through carefully planned lessons. We believe in teaching skills, sharing knowledge, and building special memories that children will take with them through the rest of their lives.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Enjoys outdoor learning
  • Is passionate and creative
  • Is flexible and is ready for the challenge of working in a developing school

Please see job description for more information.

We would encourage you to visit the school to see the fabulous facilities for yourself and to meet the team. For further information and to speak to the Headteacher, Mrs Louise Dance or the Assistant Headteacher for KS1, Mrs Charlotte Debono, please contact the school office to book a tour.

Applications should be submitted electronically by 7th May, however we will review applications as they come in and may close this vacancy early, so please don’t delay your application.
