“Be Adventurous, Be Ambitious, Be Curious, Be Kind”

If these values resonate with you then please read on…….

Are you an enthusiastic, nurturing person looking to work in a school where we encourage children to be curious and take their learning outside where possible? We are looking to recruit an experienced SEN teaching assistant to work with children in KS1. You will be supported by the class teacher, Inclusion Worker and SENDco in your role.

Badbury Park Primary School moved into a state-of-the-art building in November 2020. We are passionate about outdoor learning, education for social responsibility and forest school and we have wonderful green spaces to bring the curriculum alive. We have engaged, happy learners in beautiful, authentic learning spaces with carefully chosen versatile resources that provoke creativity, curiosity, and concentration. The school building is spacious, and purpose built with the latest technology including an immersive room, VR headsets, coding robots and a 3D printer; it offers a large hall, calming classrooms and a group room per year group.

Our free school is part of The Blue Kite Academy Trust, a growing family of primary schools based in Swindon who offer excellent CPD and career opportunities, a competitive salary with scope for progression, a commitment to nationally agreed pay and terms, an excellent pension scheme, child care vouchers, free car parking, free staff health and well-being support, and a discount scheme for local shops.

Badbury Park has a growing staff team who are supportive, passionate, and caring. Our aim is to work collaboratively together to nurture and develop every child through carefully planned continuous provision. We believe in teaching skills, sharing knowledge, and building special memories that children will take with them through the rest of their lives.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be fun, creative and enthusiastic with a love for outdoor learning
  • Be passionate about inclusive practice
  • Be empathetic in nature and maintain a calm approach
  • Be innovative and flexible, yet rigorous with an eye for detail
  • Have relevant experience in a similar role
  • Be adaptable to support the growth of our new school

Please see the person specification attached for full details.

The hours of work will be Monday-Friday  08.30-3.15pm, term time only plus teacher training days on a fixed term contract.

Applications should be submitted electronically by Friday 16th February. However we will review applications as they come in and may close this vacancy early, so please don’t delay your application.
