Horticulture Trainer
Wigfield Farm
Permanent vacancy – 18.5 hours per week
£24,577 to £26,800 pro rata (£12,288 to £13,400 per annum)
Our new Horticulture Trainer will support a caseload of up to 20 learners across all roll on roll off programmes, delivering the knowledge, skills and behaviours set within the Apprenticeship Standards. Flexibility is a key requirement in this role as it is incredibly varied, consisting of work-based assessing and workshop delivery.
You will work closely with and report to the Apprenticeship Manager, providing regular updates on learner progress and employer feedback. This role would be suitable for someone with experience in any of the following - Gardening, Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping, Sports turfing or Golf green keeping. The qualifications you would be expected to deliver and assess are Level 2 and 3 Horticulture, Level 2 Golf Green Keeping and Level 2 Sports Turf.
Alongside supporting apprentices, the Horticulture Trainer will work closely with employers and the Business Development Team to ensure that learners at Barnsley College get the best possible experience and achieve their career goals and aspirations.
