The Opportunity

As our A Level Business Teacher, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding teaching across the AQA A Level Business specification. Your focus will be on equipping our students with a strong understanding of business concepts, real-world application, and the analytical skills they need to succeed in exams and beyond.

You’ll lead engaging lessons on topics such as business strategy, marketing, finance, human resources, and operations management. Through creative teaching methods and up-to-date case studies, you’ll bring theory to life and foster a deeper understanding of how businesses operate in a rapidly evolving global environment.

Your lessons will support our students across both Year 12 and Year 13, helping them develop the skills and confidence to analyse business decisions, interpret data, and construct well-reasoned arguments. You’ll design resources and assessments tailored to the AQA specification, ensuring students are thoroughly prepared for internal and external assessments.

Working closely with Personal Progress Mentors and the wider curriculum team, you’ll monitor progress, identify learning gaps, and provide timely, personalised support to help each of our students succeed. You’ll be committed to achieving strong academic outcomes, while also encouraging students to explore future opportunities in business, entrepreneurship, and higher education.

You’ll create an inclusive, motivating classroom culture where students feel challenged yet supported. By staying current with developments in business education and industry, you’ll ensure your teaching remains relevant, fresh, and inspiring.

This is a great part-time opportunity to teach A Level Business in a supportive, forward-thinking Sixth Form environment. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team, enjoy the freedom to innovate in your lessons, and make a real impact on our students’ academic progress and personal development.

About You

You’ll be a passionate and knowledgeable A Level Business teacher with a strong understanding of the AQA specification and a genuine desire to support our students’ academic and personal growth. With a relevant degree and teaching qualification, you’ll bring solid subject expertise across key topics such as marketing, finance, operations, and business strategy. You know how to plan and deliver engaging lessons that link theory to real-world business scenarios, using current examples and case studies to bring learning to life.

You’ll take a student-centred approach, using a range of teaching methods and resources to support learners of all abilities across both Year 12 and Year 13. You’ll monitor progress closely, using data to identify gaps and provide targeted support, ensuring your students feel confident and well-prepared for assessments. You’re reflective and committed to developing your practice, keeping up to date with changes in both education and the business world.

Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff, you’ll contribute to a positive team culture and help create an inclusive, motivating classroom environment. You’ll inspire students not only to achieve academic success but also to explore future opportunities in business, entrepreneurship, and higher education.
