Department: Business
Salary: £10,202 per annum (£25,157 full time equivalent)
Contract Type: Permanent Part Time 15 hours per week
Reference: REC2277 | Closing Date: Sunday, 19th October 2025
The Opportunity
You will be at the heart of the college’s work placement team, taking responsibility for specific sectors of provision and supporting our students to secure meaningful work experiences. You will work closely with subject experts to ensure that every student has access to placements that match their career goals and curriculum requirements, while also meeting the college’s high standards for safety and quality.
You will actively engage with local and regional employers, building strong relationships and promoting the college within the business community. Using a variety of approaches—face-to-face meetings, networking events, email campaigns, and social media—you will create and secure opportunities that give students practical experience and employers the chance to connect with emerging talent.
Supporting students throughout their placements will be central to your role. You will monitor their progress, provide guidance, and help them make the most of their work experience. By collaborating with colleagues across departments, you will contribute to a joined-up approach to employer engagement and help expand placement opportunities across the college’s provision.
You will maintain accurate records, provide clear statistical information, and respond promptly to employer enquiries. By actively participating in team meetings and contributing to wider initiatives, you will help ensure the work placement team continues to deliver high-quality support and opportunities for students across the college.
This is a great opportunity to be at the heart of connecting our students with real-world work experience, allowing you to make a tangible impact on their career development

You should be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, demonstrating attention to detail while maintaining a flexible approach to your work. A collaborative mindset is important, as you will be working closely with colleagues across departments to deliver high-quality placement experiences.
