We are looking for a Teacher of Computing. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT / Barnwood Park School and become an integral member of the Vocational Studies team.

Main responsibilities:
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/tutor.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning.
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school.
- To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
You will need:
- Good Hons degree
- Qualified Teacher Status (ECT will be considered)
- Willingness to undertake further CPD
- Relevant postgraduate studies
- Ability to teach computing subject area up to Key Stage 4
- Excellent subject knowledge and genuine passion for teaching of IT/Computing
- A flexible approach to the teaching of your subject, seeking to promote the learning opportunities of all students and to secure the highest possible levels of achievement
- Detailed knowledge of current curriculum and pedagogical developments in teaching
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent communicator – sensitive, compassionate and effective
- Knowledge of strategies to inspire and improve outcomes for students
- Outstanding organisational skills to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the role
