Actual Annual Salary: £49,781 - £54,939 (CLF L1-L5)

Contract Type: Permanent 

Hours: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week 

Start Date: 1 September 2025

We are looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Associate Assistant Principal (Curriculum Lead) to join our supportive and talented leadership team at Snowdon Village (Bristol Futures Academy.) We are a growing organisation, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.  

Due to a change in the structure of the leadership team, an excited opportunity has arisen for an inspiring leader who, through leading by example, will promote high expectations and support the delivery of high attainment and pastoral care for all students at Snowdon Village.

 Alongside the role of AAP, you will also be expected to lead on the English curriculum across the Academy as well as deliver English lessons within our Bristol Futures Curriculum. So, if you are an experienced Teacher with leadership experience seeking a step up into an Associate Assistant Principal opportunity within a specialist provision then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

About you:

You will be: 

  • a qualified teacher.
  • have professional knowledge of what constitutes high quality and standards in teaching and learning. 
  • ability to write reports, keep accurate records and communicate effectively 
  • proven ability as an excellent classroom teacher 
  • experience of leading an aspect of whole school development 
  • ability to lead and manage a team. 
  • understanding of curriculum and assessment of pupil progress

About Snowdon Village:

Snowdon Village is a multi-site, cross-phase alternative provision that sits within the heart of the CLF. The Snowdon Village sites include The Nest, Engage, Bristol Futures Academy and City School.

Our primary aim is to meet the needs of children and young adults who have social, emotional and mental health issues by offering a suite of alternatives to mainstream school. Members of Snowdon Village may engage with the provision in a variety of ways, from long-term residential care to short-term, part-time alternatives which complement their existing school experience.
