Tuition Fund Project Manager

(Full-time, Fixed term to 24th June 2022)

Berkshire College of Agriculture is looking to appoint a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the delivery and implementation of the government 16 – 19 tuition fund. This is an ongoing recruitment-drive and we expect the role to be filled very quickly so please ensure you submit your application ASAP so you don’t miss out!

You will work closely with the Assistant Principal and Head of Departments to ensure the available funds are used effectively at all times, in order to maximise the impact of the funds by closing gaps in eligible student’s knowledge and raising examination attainment levels.

You will be supported by the Tuition Fund Progressions Coach, who will be your direct report. Together you will ensure the tuition fund sessions are managed and timetabled efficiently. You will also ensure funding meets all relevant audit requirements by ensuring a range of impact measures are regularly used to monitor performance.

This role will suit an experienced project manager, who has budget management experience and strong reporting and presentation skills. You will also have experience of line managing staff, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will have a strong eye for detail and be able to work to strict deadlines, whilst dealing with a busy and varied workload.

Experience of working within education is a plus, but is not necessary. We would welcome applications from experienced project managers from other sectors who are interested in a new challenge.

BCA is a popular and expanding FE college with a strong land-based heritage. We have an excellent record of academic and pastoral achievement and pride ourselves in creating a caring and respectful ethos where every student is important. If you have excellent organisational skills, can prioritise your workload and are an active listener who encourages development and champions achievement, you’ll thrive in this learner-focused role.
