Counselling Lecturers – Sessional
£31.78 per hour (£26.18 to £5.60 holiday pay)
To
£37.54 per hour (£30.93 + £6.61 holiday pay)
Due to growth in demand for our exceptional courses, alongside expansion of our vibrant department, we require additional lead and co tutors to deliver the following CPCAB counselling qualifications.
Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skillss
Applicants need to have the following credentials:
● 150 hours counselling skills and theory qualification at level 2 and above. e.g. CSK-L2 plus CST-L3
● Teaching qualification or be working towards one.
● 1 year experience using counselling skills in a workplace setting.
Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People
Co-Tutor Applicants need to have:
● 420 hours therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 and above.
● Current CYP practitioner OR Experience of providing supervision to counsellors.
● 1 year teaching and assessing counselling qualifications at level 4 or above.
Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
Applicants need to have the following credentials:
● 420 hours therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 and above.
● Current supervised counselling practice AND Supervision qualification or experience of supervising groups or individuals in a counselling setting.
● 6 months teaching and assessing at level 2 or above.
In addition, ALL applicants will need to have the following credentials:
● Be a member of a profession association of counselling or psychotherapy (i.e. BACP or UKCP)
● Be able to evidence CPD, a minimum of 30 hours and committed to continue professional development.
● To hold a minimum of a Level 3 Award in Education and Training or be working towards this or another teaching qualification.
● Willingness to work with co-tutors and in the wider tutor team.
● Available to attend termly / quarterly team meeting outside of teaching hours.
● Passion and interest in developing students and the counselling profession.
The courses at BCoT are integrative, so experience and knowledge of a variety of counselling modalities would be advantageous, with ideally a person centred/humanistic foundation.
