Engineering Manager - Commercial Delivery
1.0 FTE (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
£50,000 per annum
Working within our Engineering department, you will be responsible for Teaching and Learning, coordinating and supporting course teams, to provide an outstanding service to students and employers, specifically for the commercial education contracts. You will play an active role in the continued improvement of course delivery for both Mechanical and Electronic Engineering commercial contracts. Responsible for delivering engaging and well-planned lessons, both in person and remotely, across multiple levels including FE, HE and Apprenticeships. To manage and develop the team, in support of the Head of Faculty, to ensure programmes of study meet student and employer expectations and high achievement.
You will be responsible for employer liaison, bidding and tendering for new commercial contracts, to identify new and existing markets, to grow this area of the business in line with the development strategy.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate experience of teaching and learning in FE, and apprenticeships and be experienced in bidding, tendering and winning contracts for new business. You will have a Degree or equivalent vocational qualification, a recognised teaching qualification, industry and teaching experience in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering. The ideal Candidate will have extensive management experience and be well versed in tendering processes.
