We have a vacancy for a Student Welfare and Medical Lead to join our team at The Beacon School.
Your opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a caring, resilient and organised individual to join our school as Student Welfare and Medical Lead. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a similar role working with vulnerable people, and although not essential, experience of working in a school environment would be advantageous.This key role demands a proactive person with excellent interpersonal skills, alongside a professional, positive, and student-centred approach.You will have regular and frequent contact with students, parents and carers, members of staff and outside agencies, making the ability to interact effectively across a range of stakeholders essential.
What we are looking for
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Knowledge of the education sector
- Ability to develop and maintain efficient record keeping/management information systems, providing accurate records and reports as required
- Excellent written and communication skills including the ability to tailor communication to a range of audiences using a variety of mediums
- Experience of working with young people or in a caring profession
- Proven experience of supporting the delivery of processes and systems in a regulated service area

The Details
Start Date: 1st September 2024
Contract type: Permanent
Pay scale: GLF Specialist (£24,982 - £26,846 FTE)
Hours of work: 30- 36 hours p/w, Monday to Friday, 40 weeks per year (Term Time plus 1 week)
Pro rata salary: £22,042 - £23,687 based on 36 hours per week
