We are looking for a small number of enthusiastic people to join our bank of Henry Beaufort Cover Staff to cover lessons as and when required. Successful Candidates would be appointed on a flexible day to day basis, employed directly by the school.

Purpose

Our vision for the cover team is to provide a high quality learning environments that allows our students to continue making progress during staff absence. Within the role there will be a range of bespoke training and support available. Once training has been received the person will be solely in charge of supervising a range of classes of different abilities across all subjects.

Who is this role suitable for?

This role is suitable for anyone with a passion for supporting young people or graduates looking to gain experience in the classroom before undertaking teacher training, previous experience of teaching is not required. This role could also be suitable for qualified teachers who are looking for flexible working hours.

The role will require someone who is able to think on their feet, remain calm at all times, be adaptable, have good communication skills, work independently, committed to safeguarding and student welfare of young people from a range of backgrounds.

Applicants are required to have a minimum GCSE English and Maths at grades A-C or equivalent.

We will provide in-school training and support for this role. The induction programme will enable you to gain experience in classroom and behaviour management, pastoral support and understanding the inner workings of a school.
