We are seeking a passionate and committed Class Teacher to join Begbrook Primary Academy, where you will deliver high‑quality teaching across the primary curriculum and help every child develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed. About you:
You will be:
- a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- able to deliver the primary curriculum effectively and consistently teach high‑quality, well‑structured lessons that promote strong progress and outcomes for all pupils.
- confident in meeting the needs of diverse learners, including pupils eligible for pupil premium, looked after children, those with SEND, EAL pupils and high‑attaining learners.
- a reflective and adaptable practitioner, with secure subject and curriculum knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- a strong communicator, able to build positive, professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents, and contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
- committed to creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment, underpinned by high expectations for behaviour, learning and personal development.
- able to recognise, value and support opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, enriching pupils’ experiences and fostering a love of learning.
- empowered to develop your own expert practice and, where appropriate, support and influence the practice of others.
- highly competent in all elements of the Teachers’ Standards, with sustained impact on pupil outcomes and wider school improvement (for Upper Pay Scale applicants).

Begbrook Academy is a three-form entry primary school with a pre-school, situated in Stapleton, on the outskirts of Bristol. Our school population is culturally, socially and economically diverse.
